OUR MISSION:

At JA, we're dedicated to inspiring students to explore their interests, to believe in their potential, and to never stop imagining a better future. Through hands-on learning experiences and inspiring conversations with community leaders, we're empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and leaders. As we enter August and anticipate the upcoming school year, we're taking a moment to look back and celebrate the achievements and growth of Junior Achievement's 2024-25 year!

OUR IMPACT:

In 2024, we reached 60,621 young people across Central Indiana and reported an average annual growth rate of 6%. In 2025, we're proud to announce that we impacted 71,375 young people, a 17% growth rate. We also partnered with 46 additional schools (282 total), created 539 new volunteer experiences (5,069 total), and provided 93,662 more hours of experiential learning (459,975 total).

More than Half (49,622) of the 71,375 people we impacted participated in our three capstone programs: JA BizTown, JA JobSpark, and JA CareerIgnite.

  • JA BizTown: Elementary students step into the shoes of adults, operating a simulated city where they learn responsibility and financial literacy skills
  • JA JobSpark: Middle schoolers connect with career professionals through an interactive career expo, which connects classroom learning with real-world industries
  • JA CareerIgnite: High schoolers connect with companies, post-secondary institutions, entrepreneurs, and military recruiters in locally focused career fairs

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO:

At JA, we help bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world experience. Through hands-on, experiential learning, we teach young people to explore their interests, heightening their engagement and understanding of the importance of planning for the future. Since 1993, JA has utilized independent, third-party evaluators to measure alumni's success and beliefs after participating in a JA-led program. In its latest JA Alumni Report through Ipsos, JA found that:

  • 89% stated that JA played a valuable role in shaping their belief that they can achieve a goal, 88% their personal development, 88% career path, 86% professional development, 86% decisions to pursue further education
  • 98% stated that because of JA, they perceived education to be valuable as it related to their future success
  • 83% have a fulfilling career
  • 81% feel they have a stable financial footing

Since our founding in 1957, we've never stopped imagining a future where every young person in Central Indiana is impacted by JA programming. Thanks to our wonderful corporate, school, and community partners, we've come one step closer to our goal. We’re celebrating today’s success- but our eyes remain focused on tomorrow’s achievements.
